THIRD GEN

You may have noticed from the screenshot I posted when Mike died, I have built on some extra rooms. I've moved the first bathroom and created an extra family room which so far just has the alchemy station in it, so it's where Eveline works.

Imagine being able to work in your underwear
It's also where Beckett proposed.

Wearing a suit, which seems unfair seeing as she didn't have the notice to change

She said yes of course.

And they immediately began trying for babies.

Woohoo.

In the meantime, Henri has been striking up a romance with Hank Gadillion, the guy that Beckett fell in love with at prom.

It's a small world

Alice has been hanging around while Eveline's been pregnant. It's kind of cool cause they've been hanging out.

Oh hey ghost mother in law. Yeah, I'm good thanks.

Eveline wanted a boy, but alas it wasn't to be.

The staircase behind her seems somehow cruel.

The first member of my third generation is named Clementine. She is Absent Minded and Loves the Cold.

Eveline is an adult and graduation works again

Oh yeah, before Mike died, Eveline had a birthday. There was a party.

Just like all the other parties!
Last moments as a teenager
It's autumn and getting quite cold, so of course she rolled a warm, sensible outfit.

Complete with an iPod, which is nice
Here it is from the side.

The top half is going for a run, the bottom half is an insecure teen at the mall. Also whats with that guy's face.
I gave her a warm outfit immediately so that she didn't freeze but I forgot to take a picture. Basically its a massive pink jersey, black jeans and ugg boots. And I changed her hair.

She rolled the Avant Garde trait, which means she's now a wanker who spends all her time critiquing children's finger paintings. Her other traits are Inappropriate, Good, Mean Spirited (I feel like those two should be a contradiction) and Clumsy. She's not had good luck in life. What life ambition does somebody with that trait combination aspire to? Apparently law enforcement, as two of the lifetime wishes were Super Spy and Secret Agent. Another one was politics. But I picked Alchemy Artisan, as I always like to have one of my early gens into alchemy, and Eveline wants a family which means it's a lot harder to get to the top of a traditional career chain. Alchemy is one of those things you can keep working on even when you're preggers and raising toddlers.

Alice turned up to the party around midnight, which was nice.

She drank all the gross drinks no one else wanted. Can ghosts taste?
Afterwards she hung out with Mike. Aw.

Next day was graduation for Beckett and Eveline. In my last legacy there was some kind of glitch that got rid of graduation, which was sad because I like to see what my Sims were voted as by their classmates. But in this one it's back. Yay!

Mike and Henri didn't seem all that pleased to be there
Beckett graduated with Highest Honor and was also Class Valedictorian because he was mostly an A student. He was voted Most Likely to be a Millionaire, which is nice. Eveline graduated with Honor and was voted Most Likely to Burn Down Their Own House. Which I guess makes sense since she's going into Alchemy.

Afterwards they all went home and cleaned their disgusting house, and then Eveline went to a party and made friends with some fairies.

Do you like her dress? I downloaded it myself

She was still at that party when Mike died, which brings us to where we are now because that's when I minimised the game and started blogging. She's on her way home at the moment. I kind of want to keep playing but I'm also quite hungry and I want to go a a walk and call my family because it's Good Friday. Decisions. Anyway. Happy Easter.

Goodbye, Mike McKenzie

On the morning of Mike's one hundredth day, Death appeared at his bedside when he woke up.

Thank God I don't sleep nude, Mike thought.
Beckett has now seen both of his parents die. I hope that doesn't leave him with any psychological scars.

If he were human his therapist would be RICH
Luckily Henri was there to comfort him, which made me very glad I'd moved them in. It would suck to be orphaned all alone in your parents house.

This shot is so sweet it was worth Mike dying
It's sad that Mike won't see Beckett and Eveline get married, or meet any of his grandchildren, but it's always like that for the first generation since they tend to have kids so late.  He still got to meet her and give them his blessing, which is a lot more than first gens can usually hope for. Plus, as long as his urn is still in the house he'll pop up as a ghost, so I might leave him there until Beckett and Eveline have their first kid.

So the first generation of my legacy is over. It's been a wonderful life. Mike McKenzie arrived in Moonlight Falls with nothing but $1600 and a huge block of land.

And a smartphone, which he promptly smashed
By the end of his life he had become the town's greatest magician, achieved fame and fortune, married and had a son, and built a family home that would stand for generations to come.

And a pool. I always forget the pool.
Well done, Mike. Your future generations will never forget you. And neither will I.

Mostly because of this. Hahahaha butt

We lose one and gain two

The day after the McKenzies got back from Egypt... this happened.

She didn't burst into flames, I just screenshotted at a really good time

Sup bro, I'm here for your wife
The Grim Reaper arrived while Alice and Mike were gardening in summer, which I suppose is quite a nice place to die. And she was 94, so it was hardly unexpected. Still, it was pretty sad.

:(

Then to make things worse, THIS GUY shows up as soon as the Reaper left.

It was not a good day

Look at that evil face. No remorse.
To get over his grief, Mike went on a free vacation by himself a day later, leaving Beckett home alone. Beckett was going to have a teen party, but it would have been a mass sausage fest since only guys go to his school. And I've invited Hank over a couple of times, but nothing more has happened romantically between them, even when I left them alone in the living room practically all night.

So Beckett called the only other friends he has.

Guess who that is??
Henri and Eveline from France grew up! Eveline is a teen and Henri is a young adult. They arrived the morning after Mike left.

They were all thrilled to see each other, it was lovely.

Except Beckett had invited them to stay without thinking about where they were going to sleep. So he quickly got a hall and a guest bedroom built.

I'm sure Mike won't mind
Then Beckett went into his room to listen to some music, and Eveline followed. Then THIS happened. Autonomously!

I knew she liked him!
Eveline initiated the kissing, but Beckett seemed to be pretty into it, so I guess he isn't gay. Perhaps he's just an equal opportunist. Anyway, it's adorable because I have pictures of them together as wee kids in France and now they're in love, awww. And Henri and Beckett are best friends too, so it all works out well. So well that Beckett asked Henri if they wanted to move in!

I know it all moved a bit quick, but I didn't want them to go back to France and get married to other people, and I didn't want Eveline to move in by herself without any of her family. They've left their parents in France, but they can go back and visit whenever they want.

The best thing was obviously getting to edit Eveline in CAS. She has an...interesting face. Here's the before picture.

That nose.
 And...after!

It's all CC, I'm not ashamed
Beckett was impressed with Eveline's new look.

#letmetakeaselfie
So Mike will return from his relaxing vacation to find two extra people living in his house. But I'm sure he'll be fine with it.

Work hard and be rewarded

After a LOT of hard work, Alice finally reached the top of her career and fulfilled her ultimate ambition - to be a Master Thief.

OBEY YOUR MASTER!

She immediately retired.

Give her a break. Bitch is 93.
To celebrate Alice's success, the family decided to take a trip to Egypt. Alice could continue her French quest, and Mike could get his pomegranates. Fun ensued.

Eeeeegypt

Beckett, don't swim in there. Gross.
Such tents. Many desert.

It was a lovely trip, and Beckett got a Level 1 Visa, which is pretty damn good considering he's a teenager. But Alice couldn't get two relics worth more than $200, which meant she couldn't finish her duties for the French quest. So I guess we'll have to go back. Oh well.

They like us there anyway

I am bad at building houses and Beckett may be gay

Okay! When we last saw the McKenzies, they were in France. Beckett was sad that his only friends in the world were doomed to stay children forever, and his parents were trying to build up their visa levels so they could get out of that damned base camp where people photograph you sleeping. It didn't take long for Alice to get up to Level 3. I just kept repeating those quests where you give people fancy nectar and collect rocks. Luckily they had saved up some money before travelling, so they were able to buy a holiday home straight away.

Well, a holiday field.

They even had enough money to build a house on the field.

I know, I blinked and it just appeared!

I'm not the best at building houses, they tend to turn out like the houses I drew when I was five, but here are some shots of the inside. Don't have enough cash to furnish it yet, so there's not much in there.

There are no hallways. I cannot figure out hallways.

Since Alice is Level 3 now she can do the last quest, the one where you have to go to Egypt and give them bugs. I'm super bored with most of the quests now, but not this one because I barely ever get to do it. Mike also needs to go to Egypt to get some pomegranates for his (boring) quest, so that's the next destination on the list. We'll have to go soon though, because Mike and Alice are getting pretty old now. Alice has hit 90 and Mike is in his late eighties. Once they hit 90 they can pretty much die at any time, so I'm trying to make their last days as relaxed as possible. Mike has been spending a lot of time in his garden. Beckett's been helping too.

So has that weird pink guy
Mike's plan was to start up a nectar business, but he hasn't gotten too far with since it takes a damn long time to grow plants, and taking care of a garden like that is practically a full time job of its own. Recently he's started wishing to go back to being a magician. Perhaps it was easier when flowers just appeared from his wand.

Alice finally mastered the Athletic skill, an achievement that was only slightly soured by the repoman turning up at the same time.

Yeah well done on finally achieving athletic greatness, I'm gonna take your couch. Also I hate your music.

It was bad timing, because Alice would have reached the top of her career that night but the repoman ruined her mood. They should really start using BPAY.

While Alice was sulking off to work, Beckett was getting ready for the biggest night of his rather boring life so far. Woooo PROM.

He didn't have a date, as he has no friends in Moonlight Falls. Not one.

He's in that limo alone. Try not to think about it too much.
Despite literally not having a SINGLE friend at school, Beckett was voted prom king. He also got into three fights, and fell in love with a guy named Hank. Hank is the only other person at school that Beckett has met, so I guess he didn't have much of a choice. Still, I had suspected that Beckett might like guys. The whole hot pink disco thing tipped me off. That and his love for musicals.

That's quite gay.
The only problem with Beckett being gay is that he is my only heir, and I'm not sure that guys can have kids together. (I mean in Sims. I know how reproduction works.) I have Woohooer, and I know that girls can have kids together with that, because I had a few lesbian couples in my last legacy. But I've never tried to have two guys make babies. How would it work? Would one of them be pregnant?

Oh wait.
Okay, maybe guys can get pregnant. We'll see how it goes. Since Beckett hasn't actually MET a girl yet, he might not know if he likes them. Either way, as long as he can still pass on his genes it won't make any difference.

I also suspect Beckett and Hank may have ingested some spiked punch at prom, because as soon as Beckett got home he passed out on a bench. He wasn't even that tired.

Must have been some strong punch.
